This is a story that shows me how real the puppets are in the lives of children. I’m in the studio, Caroll Spinney, who plays Big Bird, takes the top half of his suit off. There happens to be a four year-old who sees this and the kid says to his mother, “Mom, does Big Bird know there’s a man in him?
